About Us

Sahyog Foundation is a Socio-Cultural-Educational Organisation; a nursery of dreams cherished by the society formed by a group of young and dedicated persons in 1988 to promote Art, Culture and National Integration and to strive for the uplift of downtrodden apart from launching a tirade against social evils such as dowrymenace, drug abuse etc.

With a humble beginning 17 years ago, the organization under the stewardship of Chairman Ram Jawhrani has made rapid strides and to-day occupies a prominent place among non-governmental organization in the country.

Initially, Sahyog Foundation focussed on helping widows with sewing machines for self occupation and supporting the sick and ailing persons with doles, medicines and free treatment, besides encouraging art and culture through stage shows and programmes. Slowly and gradually the Sahyog Parivar (family) expanded its fold and several prominent persons in the society came to be associated with the organisation.

Separate Committees have been formed in various categories to serve the society. They are headed by prominent personalities who are considered as authority in their respective fields. These committees undertake various activities for the betterment of society and confer “Sahyog Awards” on Individuals/Institutions to honour achievers.

One of the outstanding achievements of Sahyog Foundation was the “Sahyog Foundation Corner” set up by the University of Mumbai at its Kalina Campus to promote Sindhi language and literature. It was declared open in 1997 by pro Vice Chancellor Naresh Chandra, World President of Giants International, Nana Chudasama, Chairman of Sahyog Foundation Ram Jawhrani and Editor of Navbharat Times Vishwanath Sachdev.
